Advent Devotion for Tuesday, December 3
Theme: The Holy Spirit and Waiting
Scripture: Romans 15:13
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Waiting can feel like the hardest part of faith, especially in a world that prioritizes instant gratification. Yet Advent reminds us that waiting on God’s timing is sacred. The Holy Spirit doesn’t just sustain us in the waiting; He transforms it into a time of deep trust and joy.
Instead of striving for control, invite the Holy Spirit to shape your heart with patience. As you wait, lean into His presence and let Him remind you of God’s faithfulness. The peace you experience in waiting is a powerful testimony of your hope in Christ.
Reflection Question:
Where in your life is God asking you to wait patiently on His promises?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, teach me to wait well. Fill me with joy and peace as I trust in God’s timing and promises. Amen.
